Description: Locking devices and entry systems for control of physical access to facilities.

ImportantFeatures: May be integrated with alarm system.
Access logging.
Remote control and monitoring available via Cloud on smart phones and tablets as well as desktop systems.

Operating Considerations: Consider power and backup power requirements.
Check that any data such as access logs is collected in a format compatible with other devices such as personal computers that might be used for data mining / analysis.
Check for access compatibility with all responding agencies.
Devices may be a personal identification or access card, or other access control credentials. Access may be granted remotely - consider SOP for remote authorization.
